Say cheese!

For years my mom and I have been yearning of wanting a family portrait hung at the living room.

That wish of ours came true 3 months ago. Dad was reluctant at first but behold, the power of persuasion from us managed to convince him in agreeing with the idea in the end. ;)

And of course as much as we felt delighted about it, we had a hard time deciding which was the best photo studio. Not to mention, the damage done to my parent's wallet.

Anyhoo, we finally chose 'Grace Knot', the one located in Taipan USJ.

Before applying make-up.

Besides getting a huge ass family portrait, we couldnt resist but opted for a mini photo album as well. Quality of photos below may look slightly distorted due to the resizing.

Maybe I should consider having my future wedding shoot here.

Guess the next round of photo shoot will fall some time in 2011. Precisely, when the second sibling graduates. And the last one would be in, *starts counting with fingers* 2016?!?! I'd be 30 yrs old by then! *gasp*

Today's Sunday but I'm already feeling the Monday blues. Yikes! Sad to say I still very much dislike waking up early in the morning and only reaching home at 8pm. You tell me 'sei mou'? ;(

New faces

1st September 2009 marked the beginning of the next phase of my life - entering the labor force.

For a start, the new joiners were required to attend the '1st Experience' induction. It lasted for about a whole week.

During the course of the induction, I met several interesting people. Some were familiar faces while others were new found friends. One of them turned out to be my ex-Form 6 schoolmate. Then another one came up to me during a short refreshment interval stating that we've spoken in university before, although I couldnt recall a single thing. Proves just how small a world we're living in.

When I first reported to work, I was brought around to be introduced to my colleagues. There I saw Sean's relative sitting beside my work desk. And most surprising one of all is I'm now working along with my primary junior schoolmate who used to take up gymnastic lessons with me back then.

Met these girls (Grace, Anna and Winnie) during the teambuilding activity.

Photos below were snapped during the recent KSP dinner, some sorta Sports Club event.

How's work for me so far? Workload is piling up. Level of stress is indescribable. But by God's grace, I will pull through it all and win the battle victoriously.

Grace USJ Youths

In just a blink of an eye, the end of year 2009 is soon approaching. And what does it indicate?

Christmas celebration!

*attempts to dig out old photos*

There! Got something to share. :) Random photos in 2008 with Grace USJ youths.

LOL.

Benny's (in red top) and Jhun Hoe's (in black striped top) facial expressions cracks me up each time I look at this pic.

Currently, we're in the midst of coming up with possibly the newest and most 'in' style of caroling. Cheh. Something I've yet to try as it requires kitchen utensils. o.O

As for the most recent pics...

Pleasant bunch of peeps to be with I must say. :)

Gonna de-stress myself with a dvd movie and I'm off to bed.

Pearl of the orient

Work stress is beginning to kick in. But like it or not, that is definitely part and parcel of life that everyone has to go through.

Don't know how many times have I mentioned this but it's just way too tough juggling my daily activities with constant blogging. Let alone blogging, I rarely have spare time to catch up on my TVB drama series as well.

During times like this, one thing I really miss is to go on a vacation again.

Like seriously, any short simple foreign trip will do.

Photobucket
Two months ago, Mr.Har (my ex-lecturer) planned a roadtrip with a couple of unimates and I to Kampar and Penang Island. What's best was he sponsored our accommodation at Kampar and the following night at Penang Island. ;)

Photobucket
We took off on the road around 10pm. Took us roughly 3hours before reaching Kampar at past midnight.

Rose up early next morning intending to visit the main Kampar's UTAR campus before we drove to Penang.

Photobucket
The night spent at Grand Kampar Hotel was surprisingly extremely comfortable. Way beyond our expectation. Or maybe because we underestimated the hotel services and facilities.

Photobucket
It's no doubt that this campus offers an incredibly scenic view. A perfect studying environment I'd reckon.

Photobucket
Hundreds of bicycles owned by university students parked at the side of the lane.

Photobucket
Shortly after breakfast, we left for Penang.

Photobucket
Upon reaching the other side of the Penang jetty, we were welcomed by another two unimates (p/s: They're both Penangites.) and then lead to a famous stall selling luk luk for only 30cents per stick. *gasp*

PhotobucketPhotobucket
We also stuffed ourselves with otak-otak...

PhotobucketPhotobucket
...fishball noodle soup and chee cheong fun.

Sook Fang and I at Gurney Drive in the evening.

Among the food we ordered...

Char kuey teow and Cendol.

Asam laksa and O-chien.

Photobucket
Some snail seafood.

Photobucket
On the following day, group photo [Me, Mr.Har, Pei Chie, Wee Yuan, Sook Fang, Tyng Feng and Joey] minutes before checking out.

PhotobucketPhotobucket
For breakfast, we had yee mee and char kuey teow again. ;)

Photobucket
Doing our food shopping.

Joey was very keen on taking the train to climb up to the top of Penang Hill. But due to the heavy rain, it deterred us from doing so.

Photobucket
Left with no other choices, we headed to the temple instead.

Photobucket
Obviously, an idea I wasn't really fond of because of the unbearable choking joss stick smoke.

Photobucket
That's Pei Chie and Tyng Feng, the sampat yet loving couple.

Photobucket
Joey and I.

Photobucket
Joey, looks as though she was playing with the waterfall.

Photobucket
I remember feeling very excited seeing so many turtles here when I was younger.

Photobucket
Looking at this photo makes me realize how much fun they've brought into my life for the past three years.

I miss them, badly.

A new Saga begins

The weekend I had was rather eventful.

Firstly, I finally picked up my new car from PJ after waiting anxiously for over a month. ;)

Secondly, I attended a cousin's 21st birthday dinner and also voluntarily became a video camera woman for another cousin for the sake of his chinese orchestra performance at One Utama. Payout was 20bucks for the freelance recording job although I expected to receive more. Since Florence came along, we decided to spend it all on an ice blended mocha from Coffeebean.

What else have I been up to lately?

I'm currently working on an internal audit project with my colleague, Melissa who by the way happens to be my junior schoolmate from high school. The fact that I felt unfamiliar with the processes and fundamental jargons/terms used in the company made it tough for me to cope with my job. But everything's going fine now.

Other than that, I have been actively keeping tab on my expenses eversince I started working. There seems to be too many outflow of $. Nonetheless, looking at my saving rate I aim to put aside a sufficient amount of money for my future trip. To Haikou especially. Heh. Let's just see how far this determination will go. ;p

Urgh, tomorrow's work day again. I'm feeling the Monday blues already despite working for only a month.

Will continue to update more another day. Signing off.

Reap what you sow

This blog is at the verge of going dead, I know.

Despite trying real hard to maintain a work life balance, it's just difficult to find time updating my blog as regularly as before. Things have changed so much for me eversince I enter into the workforce.

Cant see why? How about...

...no more late night sleeps, no more TVB drama marathon and no more moi precious 9 hours of beauty sleep.

Ok lah, enough of blabbing.

As usual, lemme end this blog entry with my convocation photos taken back in early August this year.

Photobucket
Are you able to spot me? I was walking back to my seat from the stage.

Photobucket
Pei Chie, the party girl and Jin Shyi, the female version of Albert Einstein.

Photobucket
A year and a half ago, it was me who presented him a bouquet of flowers when he graduated. This time, he got me a bunch of roses as well. Lovely!

Photobucket
That's Gavin, my ex-class rep who lost a couple of pounds in a span of less than 4 months. I stared at him with disbelief when we bumped into each other at the hall. What a tremendous change!

Later I found out his secret to shedding off those fats is by only having a meal per day. -____-"

Photobucket
Alvin who's pretty good in conversing in Japanese.

Photobucket
Vincent and I. (Lighting of this photo's abit screwed. But oh well.)

Photobucket
Sook Fang, somebody I can count on when I'm in need of help.

Photobucket
My proud parents! (I hope.)

Photobucket
Joey, an exceptionally independent woman. A trait which I really admire in her.

Imma go get some sleep now. Dont wanna look like a zombie tomorrow.
